Gaston Soucy and Ruth Alejandra Mora are Architects registered with the Ontario Association of Architects with Master degrees from the University of Toronto in Urban Design and Architecture respectively. Their combined experience includes architecture, urban design, landscape, furniture, curatorship, artwork, installations, etc. resulting from an obsession for all forms of art and design which led them to establish Suzita Morita Inc. - A.K.A. SUMO Project. SUMO’s practice derives from the belief that “specialization is for insects”, poetry can be found in the prosaic, beauty in the ugly and mundane, playfulness in the utilitarian and, in doing more with the least amount of available resources.
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.Robert A. Heinlein
