re|mem|ber goes beyond engaging the observer from a cognitive point of view and pushes towards producing an emotional reaction when a seemingly static bi-planar object that is in fact 3-dimesional transforms as the elements of time and memory are introduced.
On the 2-dimensional plane, the colour selection and arrangement alludes to the perpetual cycle of life through the changing of the seasons: spring, summer, fall, winter, spring.
On the 3-dimensional space, the vanishing point produced by the wool mesh, the same material used to manufacture socks in this very same place, serves as a memory of a recent past that is no longer… a reminder that nothing is ever permanent.
