Ruth is a registered architect and artist. In this dialogue between the two disciplines, her designs incorporate art as an integral part of architecture and urban space, not an add on. Her art deals with the perception of the space and the boundaries related to human sensibility.

Before co- founding SUMO, she led the design of several large scale and programmatically complex projects. These included hospitals, police stations and
special treatment facilities, typically working on demanding timeframes while coordinating large multidisciplinary teams that included architects, engineers,
space programming consultants, market analysts and cost consultants. She is capable of integrating complex programmatic requirements while producing simple and elegant design solutions that gain support from clients and stakeholders.
She has been a guest critic at the University of Toronto and Pratt Institute’s Faculty of Architecture and Penn University Faculty of Landscape
